When Public Transport Serves the public not only the cophers of the government and the transport authorities then and only then will it be a favourable alternative method of getting around for the general public

The General Public should NOT have to drive, to pay, to store the motor vehicles in public parking spots and risk having thier vehicles stolen or damaged, the public transport system should pickup its customers a very short walking distance from thier residence therefore not adding the extra fuel and tax costs on the people expected to use the public transport system, and then pay more money for being jammed in like sardines in a can and also be charged more tax and more travel costs it's about time the general population woke up to the fact that our government is financially raping them continually and blaming everyone else.

The taxes we have already paid built the Public Transport System and we pay more tax every time maintenance is done on the public transport system and we are charged MORE TAX EVERY TIME we ride on the public transport system how many time are you going to let yourselves be taxed on the taxes you have already paid and still have a system that's no better than a horse and cart

Every freeway ( feeway ) and major highway should have a light rail running for its full length so as to accommodate the members of the public that don't have a car or don't want to use thier cars on any particular day to get to where ever they want to go, we've paid more than enough tax to governments who pay children to leave thier parents, pay them selves before paying the citizens who have earned the right to a pension, the government presides over superannuation schemes that constantly fail and cost there investors millions of dollars then who are told tuff luck sucker put up with that, then give themselves another pay rise, then pay the dole to people who could be employed by the government or private enterprise or even invited to enter the military services to protect our great country, if the dole was NOT wasted on children but reserved for the elderly then we would have plenty of money to really pay for a living pension for the elderly and let the elderly live thier later years with a little dignity.

All Trains and trams should be accessible to those in wheelchairs and a lift should be available for the use of the wheel chair in all of its forms, specific areas in trains and trams should accommodate wheel chairs and other equipment that the disadvantaged members of our society require in thier daily lives, Remember they are people too.

why doesn't the Victorian government use the same ticketing system as western Australia as theirs apparently works and has for years

Good morning mr Xenophon I would like a response to my thoughts please, I believe that it is about time that Government and big business stood up for the rights of the general population that pays for superannuation and insurance but invariably does not receive the funds they are entitled to, banks and big business take advantage of the general population any time there is a hiccup in the economy and the only people who loose are the ordinary folk while the fat cats make a killing then give themselves collectively a pay rise that is obscene and still us ordinary folk lose every thing we have worked our whole lives to achieve,

No Road should be intersecting with any train or Tram line.
ALL intersection should be converted to over and under format which will stop the Australian worker from being locked up in thier cars etc. when the train system has a problem and closes the rail intersection in peak times when the general population need to be at thier place of employment, if no changes are made i believe that the general population should send the government an invoice for thier wages every time the rail gates are closed by a malfunction on the railways as thier employers wont pay for the time thier employees are not on the job.
